Evan Nierman
PRESS THE TRUTH
Crisis PR expert Evan Nierman is the Founder and CEO of Red Banyan, a global public relations agency known for its ability to deliver the right messages at the right time to those who matter most. He is also the author of two groundbreaking books: one on crisis communications and one on cancel culture.
With more than 20 years’ experience, Evan’s strategic communications agency is rooted in the company philosophy of “Press the Truth®.” Evan specializes in crisis communications, cancel culture, celebrity PR and other high stakes situations. He is a recognized voice in the PR industry and a go-to source for the media.
Prior to founding Red Banyan, Evan developed public relations strategies for the Government of Ethiopia, operated his own Washington-based boutique PR agency, and worked for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, one of the country’s leading advocacy groups.
His new book “The Cancel Culture Curse,” offers a relatable explanation of cancel culture and its core elements and makes a convincing case against this fundamentally un-American practice through case studies and real-life examples.
His first book “Crisis Averted,” is a peek-behind-the-curtain into the unpredictable world of crisis management. This candid book is based on Evan’s decades of real-life crisis management experience and offers sound advice that readers can use when life doesn’t go as planned.

MORE IN DEPTH
I’ve always been fascinated by crisis management but when I decided to devote my career to this crazy, unpredictable field, I knew one thing to be true: my work would always be rooted in fact. That’s why my company’s motto is “Press the Truth,” and it affects how I do my job each day, who I work for and what kind of results I produce.
I also knew I wanted to be different. I believe in my clients, choose them with care and fight fiercely for them until I achieve the desired result. I have successfully guided international, celebrity and corporate clients through complex high stakes situations, and have steered CEOs through dicey interviews with international, national and local print, TV and online outlets. I’m regularly called upon by top media from around the world to provide expert commentary on crisis communications and other matters. My opinion pieces have appeared in leading publications like Forbes, The Hill, and INC. Magazine.
For more than 20 years, I have worked to make a difference while creating a firm that stands out from others. I have built Red Banyan into an internationally-acclaimed crisis management agency with offices in Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Washington D.C. I am proud to say that today Red Banyan is an award-winning agency with a global reputation that provides the kind of personal touch and attention that can mean the difference between failure and success.
I love my job and am proud to have assembled a team of bright, media savvy professionals who are second to none. It’s been a wild and exciting ride with more adventures ahead. I relish the challenges and am excited to move forward as the leader of an organization whose talented members are the best of the best. We are a team of diverse communications experts who come together with a single goal: Press theTruth. Together we will continue to navigate the world’s challenges with enthusiasm, focus and determination.
Now on Presale!

The Cancel Culture Curse: From Rage to Redemption in a World Gone Mad is a groundbreaking book that defines the core elements of this modern-day phenomenon and makes a convincing case against it.
Co-authored by Evan Nierman and Mark Sachs, the book defines cancel culture as an insidious force in today’s society so powerful that one regrettable social media post can result in false accusations and misunderstandings that can destroy reputations, relationships and careers.
Nierman and Sachs provide case studies and a playbook for rebounding from public shame and helping readers avoid becoming the latest targets of “cancel vultures,” who enjoy picking apart the remains of those left to die on the side of the Internet highway.
